Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a competition that challenges young Australians aged 14-24 to use STEM learning to solve real-world problems that can have a positive impact in their communities.
This year, the competition is centered around three categories: education, sustainability, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Entrants are asked to submit a written entry up to 500 words which identifies an issue their community is facing and outlines a potential solution that applies STEM to create a better tomorrow for young Australians.
The competition aims to foster problem-solving skills and highlight the positive impact young thinking can have on society. All you need to do to enter is tackle a problem in your community from a unique and unbiased standpoint, and then present your ground-breaking solution in a 60-second video or written application.
Your idea will be judged on its social relevance, feasibility, creativity, application of STEM, and its presentation. Previous winners have tackled issues as diverse as roadkill, healthcare, and communication.
The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 to take their ideas to the next level, and the runners-up will both receive $5,000. The winner of every category will also receive a Samsung Productivity Prize Pack, which includes a Smart Monitor M5, a Galaxy Z Flip4 and a pair of Galaxy Buds2Pro valued at more than $2,000.
This is a great opportunity for young Australians to use their creativity and problem-solving skills to make a difference in their communities. If you have a great idea, enter the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow hackathon today!
