MedHack Elevate

Melbourne’s premiere student-run healthcare themed hackathon is back for 2022! This year, MedHack: Elevate will be taking place on May 6th-8th at the Woodside Building in Monash, Clayton.

MedHack brings together students and professionals from any institution together at the intersection of design, engineering, healthcare and entrepreneurship in a 48-hour sprint to help reimagine the future of healthcare. It is Melbourne’s premiere student-run healthcare hackathon, in which students in teams of 4-6 will be matched with a Co-Designer (a person with lived experience or expertise) and will have to develop and pitch a solution that addresses the challenges faced by their Co-Designer. Through MedHack, we aim to bring the community together to co-design solutions that help address the challenges associated with Australia’s most pressing health concerns.

This year’s theme is Elevate and is looking at solving existing challenges to achieve healthy hospitals. The theme recognises the overwhelming magnitude and complexity of the problems plaguing public and private hospitals alike, which have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

With a total prize pool over $1500, and networking and masterclass opportunities with our sponsors, this event is not one to miss! Tickets include registration to the competition, a T-shirt, a tote bag with merch as well as meals across the weekend.
