This competition is open to all students and staff across various disciplines and faculties, and the best part is, no prior skills or teams are required, and it’s completely free to participate!

Whether you have a passion for drawing, design, or coding, this competition is designed for anyone interested in exploring the realm of digital making. From basic tools like drawing to more advanced platforms like Figma and Unity, you have the freedom to unleash your creativity and build something amazing, whether it’s fully digital, code-based, design-focused, or development-ready. No idea is too big or too small; we welcome applications from all domains, ranging from native and web app design to spatial and virtual/augmented reality computing.

This program aims to help you level-up your digital prototyping skills, showcase your ongoing development efforts through IRL Demo Days, receive valuable feedback from a network of mentors across UNSW and industry, and drive your idea forward.

For those who excel, there are cash prizes awaiting the winning individuals or teams selected to present at the exciting Pitch Night in October.

If you’re an individual applicant, you must be a current UNSW student or member of staff. Students pursuing under/post-graduate qualifications or existing HDR candidates are also eligible to apply.

Alternatively, if you prefer to form a team, gather 2 to 5 members, and ensure that the team leader is a current UNSW student or staff member. Other team members do not need to be affiliated with UNSW.
